On November 8, 2015, Connect4Climate partnered with Earth Day Italy and Earth Day Network to organize the first People’s March for the Earth in Rome, Italy. Scheduled to coincide with the Vicariate of Rome’s “Day for the Custody of Creation” and right before the international climate negotiation in Paris, the march showcased global citizens’ undivided support of Pope Francis’ messages of peace and Care for Our Common Home. Thousands of people populated the streets of the Eternal City, urging Global Leaders to act on climate change.
